Category 1: up to 3rd Std · Category 2: 4th–6th Std
Rules & regulations
Level 1 — Entry
- Category 1: 50 sums with instrument, additions only, 10 minutes.
- Category 2: 100 sums with instrument, additions only, 10 minutes.
Level 2 — Intermediate (Level 1 qualifiers only)
- Category 1: 100 sums by visualization, additions only, 10 minutes.
- Category 2: 100 sums by visualization, additions + multiplications, 10 minutes.
Level 3 — Oral visualization (Level 2 qualifiers only)
- Format announced separately on the day.
General rules
- All participants start at Level 1; only qualifiers advance to the next level.
- Bring your own Abacus instrument, plus pencil, eraser and sharpener.
- Calculators, mobile phones and other electronic devices are not permitted.
- Follow the competition coordinators' instructions.
- Decisions of the organizers and the Abacus Academy expert are final.
